Suspiria are very different from what I was expecting. It's extremely dancy, so much so that you could call it "gothic disco" music. That might sound bad, but I quite like it. Many of the tracks are extremely well put together.
The downside is that all of the tracks sound superficially very similar. Suspiria seem to use the same dominant rhythm as the basis of every song. If you go through the CD playing the first few seconds of each track, then this effect really stands out. Perhaps they should throw away their drum machine and get a human to do it instead? - Academic now unfortunately as the band have split.
"Primitive Attentions" is a re-release compilation of earlier work that is no longer available; "Tragedy EP" and "The Great and Secret Show". I'm looking forward to hearing some of their later work.
