Week: 1

We will attend the disarmament conference

DIPLOMATIC MISSIVE

The Peoples’ Republic of Neubayern wishes to support the eradication of planet buster weapons. We feel distinct unease in the fact that governments must resort to the construction of such weapons of Armageddon.

Thus we will send some of our top diplomats to the Convention, who should arrive on Week 8. We will fully support any agreement reached there, although I fear that the stumbling block would be the verification aspect of any potential treaty.

Again your position to organise an anti Esperanza treaty is one my Government is keen to support, and our diplomats will try and sort out something more substantial. We would like to reiterate the fact that the people of Neubayern fear the emergence of grossly belligerent tendencies of Esperanza with its creation of such a large and capable battle fleet. Our preliminary intelligence reports say that if the Esperanzan fleet is well designed then it would take three major powers to join together in one force to be able to defeat it. Thus, such an alliance is desperately needed.

Karl Hoganstein

Spokesperson and Commissar of the People of Neubayern.
