Your kind offer of 6-star accommodation for our diplomats
From : King Magnus VII of New Colchis from the Royal Palace of Croman on New Colchis.
Distributed to: The Ambassador of the Thatcher on New Colchis.
Much as we appreciate the kind offer of 6-star accommodation for our diplomats on Vesa, and the undoubted generosity and consideration which lead to it, I regret to say that I would much prefer my diplomatic staff to remain in their present Embassy on Esperanza, as in this way they may more accurately keep in touch with the Esperanzan political process, the more effectively to serve the interests of both our great nations. Your offer to allow my courier ships to dock at Stansted Starport or Gatwick downport is greatly appreciated in connection with this.
In response to your suggestion of my allowing you refuelling rights at New Colchis and Herzenlust, I am afraid to inform you that due to mechanical problems with new refuelling equipment, it is not possible to refuel ships of total tonnage more than 10000 tonnes at any given time. While this may limit the actions your fleet can take, it appears that this inconvenience will persist for the foreseeable future.
Also, in response to rumours that an unknown nation is planning to take control of the fuel source at Besançon, I have felt it necessary to station three ‘Swiftsure’ class courier ships in that system, to warn my Navy in the event of such an unprovoked action against the peace-loving people of Besançon.
I look forward to your reply,
Magnus VII, King of New Colchis.
