Serendip Belt’s Admiral Eldrich secretly leaves, bound for the Third Imperium, aboard the huge Behemoth class fuel carrier Titan. She takes with her MCr36,000, with which she hopes to buy high technology equipment with which to re-equip the Serendip Belt Navy.

All other Serendip Belt forces leave the system except a garrison from the 13th Shock division, and the 1st Destroyer Squadron.
