The Foundations of Tarot

Fresh ideas about reading the Tarot for beginners and old hands.

Part 1 - The Secrets of the Minor Arcana

Saturday, 23 May 2009

Part 2 - A Journey Through the Major Arcana

Saturday, 20 June 2009

Practical exercises and story-telling will teach us how to read the cards without having to learn the meanings by rote. We will look at the cards from different perspectives: numerological, elemental, creative and intuitive. This will allow us to use the face cards in character studies and see the images of the numbered cards as reflections of our everyday lives.

Guided visualisation will help us vividly experience the myths and archetypes of the Major Arcana. After a short presentation on the history of the tarot, practical demonstrations and exercises will give you the confidence you need to read for yourself and for clients.

Extra exercises will give you the opportunity to explore the cards further between the two sessions.

This two part workshop is led by Hilde and Cilla Conway.
